Romania
Romania has 3 operating data centers in our registry, and we estimate 80 MW of data center capacity in the country. About 13 MW of that is colocation and hyperscale capacity we track directly. Most of the rest is modelled enterprise capacity on sites the registry does not hold.

Romania is a small data center market concentrated in Bucharest, served mainly by domestic colocation and telecom providers. Its profile could change with the announced Black Sea AI Gigafactory, a proposed project with up to 1.5 GW of clean power and a €5 billion budget. Beyond this, no dedicated national data center incentive scheme has been identified in this tracker’s policy review.
