Greece is an emerging data center market centered on Athens, benefiting from its position on subsea cable routes linking Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and from growing renewable generation. International operators have expanded in the Athens area in recent years, and further projects are planned.

Data centers qualify as Strategic Investments under Law 4864/2021, which provides fast-track permitting within 45 days, special spatial development plans with higher building densities, and a stable 12-year tax regime.
